Kook Kosher Community
Kitchen at Beth Weizmann

"... And thanks again,
turning into a great asset
that kitchen you have there.

Thanks for all your help."

Kook Kitchen operates out of a commercial kitchen in the BW community centre.
The kitchen is involved in 4 main sectors of the food service industry:
A. helping people with food manufacturing business start-ups;
B. teaching students and adults about making food and hospitality;
C. giving short-term space to caterers who need a council approved kitchen for food production;
D. provision of a soup kitchen on a regular basis at little or no charge to people in the local community.
INNOVATION
Provides a kosher commercial cooking environment
to the general public for their hire and usage.
VIABILITY
With the right mix of hiring to private businesses
who can afford the space on a short-term rental,
in conjunction with helping community members
for free who cannot afford, as well as providing
a free space for cooking and provision of a soup kitchen,
Kook Kitchen can be sustained on an ideal not-for profit basis.
INSIGHT
Since the inception of the idea and concept of Kook Kitchen,
including marketing to the community, there  have been
young people, mums&dads, prospective business partners,
who have asked about using the kitchen on a regular basis for their
food production ideas, for which they require a proof of concept.
Kook Kitchen fulfils that requirement.
COMMUNITY
The foundation for the concept of Kook kitchen is that it will benefit
the community in various ways. It provides a forum for business start-ups,
'to give a person a fishing rod, not a fish'.
But the most important underlying reason for Kook's existence is to help
the needy of our community who both want a place to come on a regular
basis for food (i.e. soup kitchen) but also a place to socialise
and meet others and break through loneliness.
